OUR STORY

We are a non-denominational church serving the Texas Hill Country. From the beginning, Hill Country Fellowship has tried to create a spirit of family and joy where it’s all about Jesus. God has been so faithful to grow our body from an initial meeting of twenty-eight people at the Holiday Express in 2003, to a thriving, growing church of hundreds that is on a mission to lead people to discover their purpose and the joy of Jesus.

In 2005, God brought a recently retired coach at Burnet High School named Rodney McGee to be the Lead Pastor at Hill Country Fellowship. Under Pastor Rodney's leadership and by God's grace, the church continued to reach individuals and families with the truth of Jesus Christ all while serving the community.

In 2008, Hill Country Fellowship purchased thirty acres of land and began constructing new facilities, including a large worship center. Just three years later, thanks to God's grace, the large building project was completely paid off. We now operate debt free with a commitment to investing God's resources to ministries both inside and outside the walls of our facility.

In July 2016, Scott Frerking accepted the call to become HCF’s next Lead Pastor. He and Pastor Rodney worked together for 6 months to transition the HCF family into what God had for it in this next chapter of life. With a deep desire to love, serve, and give to others both locally and globally, HCF continues to be a family empowered by a living relationship with God.

HCF Celebrated 20 years of loving God and loving people in April of 2023.
